I could not put this book down!
I highly recommend this original crime novel, which features a lead character possessed of both excellent sleuthing skills and fascinating multiple conflicts. The story moves on two levels uncovering the scandalous facts behind the so-called respectable college walls and the human interest of complex duty--to both the victim of sexual assault and the lead character's adolescent daughter. This one has both a fine puzzle and a skillfully plotted display of complex human motive. Its balance between detection and the human condition is superb.
But it has enough twists and turns that it is hard to put down. And it is very satisfying to have it all make sense in the end.
